When it’s time for a new roof

Whether a new construction, recovery roofing system, or the replacement of an existing roofing assembly, typically called a re-roof, many options are available. However, not every roofing system is a good fit for every facility. Investigative work and qualifying questions need to be answered to determine the proper process and system to meet the needs of your facility.

COMMERCIAL ROOFING SYSTEM OPTIONS

01

New Roof Installation

We work with builders, contractors, and owners during the building phase to install a new roof system. With the trained and safety-oriented employees of our installation crews, you can be certain the new roofing system will be installed to manufacturer’s specifications with quality that can come only from certified and experienced roofing personnel.

02

Recovery Systems

Roof recovery systems include TPO Roofing, PVC Roofing, EPDM Roofing, Fleece-backed Systems, roof coatings, and sometimes Modified Bitumen. These can be applied over the existing assemblies, if building codes are met, saturated insulation is removed, etc. Because the original assembly is left in place and the cost for labor and disposal of the primary roof system is reduced, recovery systems are a cost-effective option.

Roof coating systems are also a viable recovery option when properly planned and installed. These are recovery applications, or as we more consider, a resurfacing of your existing roof system. Certain and very specific criteria need to be met for Roof System Coatings to be an effective and long lasting option for commercial low-slope roofing systems.

03

Roof Replacement

Re-roofing your facility is the most costly of all applications. It is, however, the absolute best option in most circumstances. This option allows the structural decking to be inspected for safety reasons. R-values and energy requirements can be adjusted to help reduce energy consumption.

AFTER A NEW ROOF IS INSTALLED

Roof maintenance isn’t just for old roof assemblies, maintenance for all roofs, whether new, an existing system with a warranty, or an older application, maintaining and extending the life of your roof is crucial.

Beyond rain and sunlight, airborne debris and other elements will collect on low sloped or flat roofing systems. When debris and contaminants build up on the roof surfaces, drains and drainage paths can be obstructed. These occurrences could create conditions that will cause premature failure of the roofing system. Penetration weakness can be located pre-failure preventing leaks into the building and system before these events occur if inspections and regular maintenance is performed.

Proper maintenance programs will prevent premature failure of your roofing system and help your new assembly last as much as double the amount of time versus a system without any maintenance.

Give us an opportunity to assist you with learning more about the benefits of roof maintenance, especially on a new roof system. Protect your investment and create a return on the investment.
